The Iranian Intellectual Property Center (IPC) has gained access to the Madrid e-Filing service to trademark applicants through its website made it possible for Iranian Brand owners to have the possibility of filing international applications online.

Within the e-Filing service, users have direct access to the Madrid Goods & Services Manager to check the classification of terms in their list of goods and services. Besides, users now can use the tool in Persian, alongside the other 24 languages in which it is already available.

Iranian brand owners can benefit from the latest feature in Madrid e-Filing as well as the ability to receive and respond to irregularities issued by WIPO electronically, retrieving essential basic mark information, including the list of goods and services, directly from the IP Office’s national registry.

These features are available to all participating offices and help to save a significant amount of time in the processing of international registrations, making the applicants able to receive an IP Office and validate and certify the application before submitting it directly to WIPO.

The adoption of Madrid e-Filing by the IPC now brings the number of users of this WIPO solution to twelve, alongside the Benelux, Australia, Georgia, Austria, Lithuania, Estonia, Canada, the Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, Iceland, and Norway.
