Iran’s trade with the EU grows in the first half of 2022

Iran and the 27 member countries of the European Union exchanged goods worth 2.59 billion euros in the first six months of 2022, which has increased by 15.23% compared to the same period last year.

New data published by Eurostat show that Germany was Iran’s largest trade partner in the EU region during this period, as the two countries traded 950.19 million euros in goods, which is 6.34 percent more than the same period last year.

Italy ranks next with 324.2 million euros in trade with Iran, which has grown by 6.98% compared to the same period last year.

 

The Netherlands with 209.13 million euros (9.96% decrease) and France with 148.38 million euros (39.38% increase) were other important business partners of Iran in Europe.
